A little about myself
I am originally from London and have been a teacher for over twenty years. I have always enjoyed teaching and have been fortunate enough to have worked in both mainstream and special settings in Surrey, Berkshire and Dorset.
I live with my husband in Bournemouth, within walking distance to the town and the beach - which we enjoy when the weather's good enough! I also enjoy reading, going to see live music and visiting my family and friends in London when I get the opportunity to do so.
What excites me about my role within the School/Academy?
I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to work at Redwood Park as Head of School. I firmly believe that all young people can achieve success given the right support and the opportunity to do so and supporting young people to achieve their goals towards independence has also been a huge driver for me throughout my career. Right from my very first visit to Redwood Park it was very clear that the school has many strengths with a hard working, committed staff team and high aspirations for all its pupils and I feel privileged to now be in a position to be part of the team leading the school as it continues along its journey. The opportunities that becoming an academy brings are also hugely exciting in enabling us to further support our pupils, alongside the ongoing support from parents and carers, so they can achieve the best outcomes and have a firm foundation from which to start their lives as young adults.
