A little about myself
I have been a member of staff at Redwood Park School since September 2016 as Head of Learning for KS3 and a Year 9 class teacher.
I have been teaching since 2006 after graduating from the University of Chichester with a BA hons in PE teaching with Qualified Teacher Status. I have worked in a few mainstream schools and a Pupil Referral Unit, teaching from PE, English and Maths to KS2-KS4 students. I have also been lucky enough to teach in Australia whilst travelling on a Working Visa.
My family home is in Bognor Regis, West Sussex and I have lived in Portsmouth since January 2010.
I live with my wife, she is a teacher of Resistant Materials and I have a young daughter called Matilda.
When I am not working I enjoy spending my time playing as much golf as possible, going to the local gym to keep fit and during holidays we try and add to the 30 countries I have travelled too!
What excites you about your role within the Academy?
The potential of how high we can go! My role within the Middle/Senior Leader team is really dynamic and exciting in how the school is joining the 'Outstanding' academy schools and how we are moving an ever-changing school forward. The students are so energetic, keen and honest which are great building blocks for learning and teaching. The staff team across the school are superb, with amazing energy levels, creativity and a real feeling of being part of a team. I'm really excited be part of the journey and in further developing my role, skills and career!
