Fratton Park have had a brilliant start to the Summer term, and are planning to pack in lots more. We cannot believe how quickly our year is going, and it is lovely for us to enjoy so many different experiences on our journey to success.
We have started our topic: ‘Muck, Mess and Mixture’ by having a stunning start day that was full of lots of creative and fun activities. We tried our hand at marble dyeing and making bird feeders to hang around the school grounds. With a focus on ‘polluting planet’ we undertook at litter pick whilst out at forest school, as we have been learning how even the small things that we do to protect our environment make a difference. The next few weeks will see us plan and build upcycled furniture for our environmental area, that everyone can enjoy. We have also been learning about Buddhist prayer flags and tried out a guided meditation to help us quiet our minds, this also really helped to settle our bodies! In English we have started a unit on modern fiction, where we are looking at drama and comedy. We have a flair for the dramatic and have been practicing getting into character and showing different emotions on our faces! We can’t wait to write our own funny sketches and perform and film them so that we can share our fabulous work.
