Wild & Wonderful KS3 Stunning Start
On Tuesday morning we launched our Autumn Topic titled ‘Wild & Wonderful’. Across KS3 classes took part in a range of hands-on practical learning activities introducing them to the topic and some of the concepts they will continue to learn about until Christmas.
The three year 7 classes took part in 3 sessions and had opportunities to explore the garden; and create sensory postcards, create artwork using natural brushes and materials, and construct wild habitats from across the globe using a plethora of natural materials including, sand, rock, soil and greenery.
The year 8 and 9 classes honed their art, craft and forest school skills developed in previous years to take part in wild cooking, building rain makers and design animal masks based on the natural camouflage found in the wild.
Learners returned to their classrooms smiling, excited, and keen to find out more about all things wild and wonderful!
