Portsmouth FC Reserves

This term Key Stage Four pupils were fortunate enough to be invited to HMS Temeraire to watch Portsmouth FC Reserves play the Navy representative team in a friendly.

20 pupils made the short trip to watch the game and were thrilled to see some first team players on the pitch in this game.

Anton Walkes who featured in the thrilling Checkatrade cup final played as did the striker Louis Dennis who scored in the game that ended 3-1 to Portsmouth.
The pupils were in fine voice throughout chanting many of the famous songs such as 'Play up Pompey'!
In the stands was also the infamous Kev the kitman and the first team goalkeeper coach, both gave their time to chat to the pupils about their jobs.
The highlight of the day through was spotting the first team manager Kenny Jackett who gave his time to speak to each pupil and pose for a photo.
An amazing experience for our pupils who are all die hard Portsmouth fans and one that they will remember for years to come.
Thank you to all in the Navy who invited us to attend and those at Portsmouth FC who took their time to speak to our pupils.
