Summer Show 2018

Summer Show 2018

NOW that's what I call Britain!

The theme for our summer show this year focused on all things British. The show was a definite highlight of our school year with pupils putting in brilliant performances across the board. Treated to a ‘Traditional Cream Tea’ before the performance, families and friends took their seats in the hall draped in red, white and blue excited for the performance to begin. It was amazing! All the hard work put into remembering scenes, lines and each class having made such brilliant props and costumes really gave it the ‘wow’ factor!

The show featured everything from the comedy greats and historic achievements to the more modern culture of reality television and our achievements out in Space! And that’s not to mention the homage paid to stage and screen with a super rendition of Dr Who across the decades and the classic Michael Caine film ‘The Italian Job.’

Mr Bean, Del-boy and Rodney, the Chuckle Brothers, Basil Fawlty and Manuel all gave rise to much enjoyment alongside experiencing a live ‘Great British Cake Off’ and then a peek into what life would have been like at the time of the Second World War. The Britain’s got Talent sketch saw a ‘stand up’ performance worthy of acclaim by one of our pupils Max, before the audience were taken out of this world - quite literally - with Tim Peake and a journey to outer space!

Well done everyone! You were amazing!
