Welcome to Mountbatten class 2022-23!

In Mountbatten class we believe that the things that we are passionate about are the best vehicles to learning. As such we've embraced the special interests of our students and integrated them into our daily lessons. We have done this in subjects like maths by measuring out ingredients for our favourite recipes, and choosing our favourite items to sell in our pupil designed shops. We've improved our reading by learning about our favourite singers and musicals. We have also become more technology literature by finding information and images online to design our own posters.

Most recently we've been learning about the brain by exploring the case of Phenius Gage. We've learned about the prefrontal cortex and how it helps control our behaviour, and we have even made our own papier mache models of Gage.

 By having respect for our differences and having the courage to try things even when they are difficult, Mountbatten have had a great start to the new academic year.
